LSU New Orleans is seeking a Surveillance Epidemiologist Support role within the OPH-Bureau of Infectious Diseases. You will analyze infectious disease surveillance data, coordinate with physicians, and assist in outbreak investigations to identify trends in assigned regions.
Responsibilities include data entry in REDCap and IDRIS, maintaining confidential case records, and disseminating health information to communities at risk.

OPH-Bureau of Infectious Diseases
Assists with surveillance activities to detect cases and identify trends for the Bureau of Infectious Disease (BID). Supports Regional Epidemiologist on all epidemiologic activities conducted in assigned region. Completes disease case reports in assigned regions. Monitors parish health units and hospitals conducting surveillance activities via electronic reporting within assigned regions.
