Job summary

Veo is seeking a Bicycle & Scooter Repair Technician in College Park, MD to maintain and repair our electric vehicle fleet. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy solving problems and working with their hands.

No EV experience required, but bike/scooter or auto repair background is a good fit. Responsibilities include comprehensive repairs, safety inspections, maintaining records, inventory tracking, and occasional field tasks.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance or auto repair experience.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 80 lbs.
• Comfortable using smartphone apps.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive repairs on Veo’s electric bikes and scooters up to 80 lbs.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure safety standards.
• Log and track maintenance records.
• Track inventory for spare parts.
• Maintain warehouse organization and set a good example.
• Perform field tasks such as swapping batteries and redistributing vehicles.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Bicycle & Scooter Repair Technician – College Park, MD

Compensation:

$17.00/hour

Compensation Type:

W-2 Employee

Shift Options:

• Sunday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Candidates must have reliable transportation to commute to and from the warehouse.

Please Note: Candidates must live near the College Park area and be able to reliably commute to the warehouse location. This is a hands‑on position that requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull electric bikes and scooters weighing up to 80 lbs.

Job Summary

Veo is seeking Repair Technicians to maintain and repair our electric vehicle fleet. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy solving problems, are comfortable working with their hands, and are passionate about helping make our communities safe and sustainable.

No electric vehicle experience is required, but professional or hobby experience repairing bikes, scooters, cars, motorcycles, or similar equipment is a great fit.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive repairs on Veo’s electric bikes and scooters, from tightening a bolt to replacing a motor
• Conduct quality checks and routine inspections to ensure all vehicles meet safety standards
• Follow established processes to log and track maintenance records
• Track inventory levels for spare parts on an ongoing basis
• Maintain excellent warehouse organization and set a strong example for teammates
• Perform field tasks as needed, including swapping batteries and redistributing vehicles
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairs
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• At least 1+ years of experience in maintenance or auto repair
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull electric bikes and scooters weighing up to 80 lbs
• Strong problem-solving mindset and self-motivation
• Comfortable navigating and using smartphone apps
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be a team player
• Comfortable performing hands‑on mechanical work throughout the shift

Nice to Haves

• Previous maintenance experience with bikes, scooters, motorcycles, or automobiles
• Basic knowledge of electronics
• Experience working with hand and power tools
• Knowledge of the College Park area and surrounding streets
• Flexible schedule, including early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts
• $17.00/hour
