The Bicycle Mechanic position is responsible for assisting in the inspection, maintenance, repair and assembly of the RTC bike share fleet. Reporting to the Field Operations Supervisor, the Mechanic will complete monthly in-field safety inspections on all bikes as well as assist with repairs on bicycles in the shop and the field, as well as assist with battery swapping, bike assembly, and other operational work as needed. This position will require riding a cargo bike loaded with equipment and navigating the city safely by bicycle. This position will entail outdoor work with high exposure to the public and potentially inclement weather . Bike shop experience is preferred, and urban riding experience is a must. Mechanics will receive full training on the specific maintenance requirements of the bicycles; however, experience working in mechanically and technically minded environments is required.
