Bike Mechanic – Red Barn

At Red Barn, we build refurbished bikes that inspire adventure, freedom, and the sheer joy of the ride. As a Bike Mechanic, you'll play a key role in ensuring every bike meets our high standards for speed and quality. We’re all about precision – you’ll be responsible for assembling, tuning, and adjusting bikes with flawless accuracy. You will work on older model Trek bikes, as well as high-end road bikes, Rails, and Project One bikes. We’re looking for individuals with advanced technical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and a can-do attitude. This is a full-time, non-customer-facing position, working full-time with some of the best mechanics in the country to help get more people on bikes every day.

What you’ll bring to the team:
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience assembling a wide range of bikes—from kids' bikes to top-of-the-line mountain, road, and e-bikes.
  • A self-starter mentality with a passion for teamwork and a positive attitude.
  • A dedication to delivering excellent hospitality—listening, caring, and helping, regardless of how busy it gets.
  • An eye for detail and a love for troubleshooting and fine-tuning bikes.
  • A desire to learn, grow your skills, and stay updated on the latest technologies and techniques.
  • Bike shop or bike assembly experience.
Areas you'll own:
  • Final assembly, tuning, and adjustment of various bikes.
  • Troubleshooting and updating e-bike systems and software.
  • Helping meet team goals and deliver outstanding service.
Your schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
Compensation:
  • $20 - $30 per hour based on experience.
  • Relocation package available depending on location.
