Job summary

Little River Church in Belfast, Maine is seeking a Bi-Vocational Pastor who is passionate about Christ to lead our congregation. The pastor will prioritize prayer and the preaching of God's Word while working alongside elders to define the church's direction.

The role requires a male believer with strong biblical maturity, alignment with Baptist faith, and an evangelistic heart, capable of guiding spiritual growth within the church and community.

Qualifications

• Born again believer with a personal testimony of conversion (John 3:1-21).
• Must fulfill the Biblical qualifications for an elder (1 Tim 3, Titus 1, 1 Pet 5:1-4).
• Male as defined in Genesis 1:27 (1 Tim 3:1-2).
• Conservative theological perspective, adherent to the inerrancy of Scripture.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver weekly sermons; prioritize prayer and ministry of the Word (Acts 6:4).
• Lead in observance of Baptism and Communion (Acts 10:47-48; 1 Cor 11:17-34).
• Work with Elders to plan, organize, and guide the church direction (Acts 15:1-35; Acts 20:17-38).
