Job description

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join an excellent Family Health Center in the Boston area.

Family Nurse Practitioner: Diagnoses and treats a variety of diseases and injuries in general practice by performing the following duties under Physician Supervision.

Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and treat patients, record and elicit medical information regarding patients.
  2. Provide and assess preventative health care advice and case management, address psychological impacts of illness, and refer patients for further evaluation and treatment.
  3. Administer and prescribe treatment and drugs, vaccinate patients.
  4. Participate in 24-hour on-call medical coverage, including at least two consecutive nights per week and one weekend every four weeks.
  5. Participate in on-site and off-site outreach and continuing education programs to maintain licensure and meet the needs of the population.

Requirements for the FNP or PA:

  • FNP or PA Degree
  • Current DEA and MA Licenses
  • Ambulatory setting experience preferred
  • Diverse culture experience preferred

Bi-lingual skills a plus - SPEAK SPANISH or HAITIAN CREOLE
