Merakey is seeking a dedicated Facility Attendant for the Fresh Start program in Philadelphia, PA. This role supports residents, monitors behavior, and maintains a safe environment within a 24/7 housing program in Kensington.

The position runs Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11pm to 7am. Merakey offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within a nonprofit organization.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
• Effective communication skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' behavior and safety.
• Maintain a harassment-free environment conducive to recovery.
• Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety in all rooms.
• Complete incident reports and notify supervisor per policy.
• Monitor residents during medication administration and report issues.
• Oversee assigned chores and ensure GI inspections are done properly.
• Complete training within mandated time frames.

We are seeking a Facility Attendant to join our team at our program in Philadelphia, PA.

This program is located in Kensington.

Earn $17.36 per hour.

Shift: Sun, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Friday : 11pm-7am

Fresh Start transitional housing programs were developed to provide 24/7 support to Veterans and individuals with a history of homelessness, chemical dependency, and/or varying degrees of behavioral health issues. Fresh Start currently has over 150 beds that operate out of 12 different locations in Philadelphia, PA. These programs work in partnership with the Philadelphia VA Medical Centers and Philadelphia’s Office of Addiction Services (OAS). In addition, Fresh Start also has “self-pay” housing options where individuals can stay for an indefinite period of time.

Position Details

Facility Attendants will:

• monitor residents' behavior.
• ensure a safe, harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery.
• perform building checks for cleanliness and safety (this includes all rooms).
• complete and write incident reports, immediately notifying supervisor, or program manager and following procedures as stated in Merakey policy.
• monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication,
• report all medication monitoring issues to immediate supervisor and following Merakey incident report policy
• monitor assigned chores
• ensure that general inspections (GI's) are done properly
• complete assigned training within mandated time frames
