Job summary

Amazon is seeking Business Intelligence Interns in Seattle, WA to translate data into insights and help drive data-driven decisions. You will work with engineers to build BI solutions, create data structures, and analyze data to support product decisions.

You will be matched to a manager and a mentor, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to major projects in a fast-paced environment. This 12-week program runs across multiple start periods in 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Enrolled in an academic program physically located in the United States.
• Work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to 12 week internship maximum.
• Experience with data querying or modeling with SQL.
• Experience with building and maintaining basic data artifacts (e.g. ETL, data models, queries).
• Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and basic statistics.
• Currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, computer science, computer engineering, information management/systems, business analytics or equivalent with an expected conferral date between Oct 2027 – Dec 2030.

Responsibilities

• Build BI solutions – data sets, queries, reports, dashboards, analyses – to answer business questions with data.
• Use defined requirements to deliver end product on schedule.
• Create and populate data structures using schema definitions.
• Write secure, maintainable code and automate manual processes where possible.
• Utilize analytics visualization tools to deliver actionable insights.
• Invent and refine BI solutions to meet business goals.
• Troubleshoot data, analyses, and code and propose solutions.
