Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a data‑driven Business Intelligence Engineer to join the ML Capacity Delivery analytics team in Seattle.

You will gather customer needs, mine large data sets across AWS Infrastructure, build visualizations and reporting tools, and generate insights to support senior leaders’ decisions. The role requires expertise in SQL, ETL, and data visualization, with experience in predictive analytics and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience.
• 1+ years of SQL, ETL or Oracle experience
• 1+ years of processing large, multi‑dimensional datasets from multiple sources experience
• 1+ years of performing statistical analysis experience
• 1+ years of using SQL, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), or Oracle experience
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a related field
• Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Responsibilities

• Set the baseline by defining, tracking, and reporting KPIs against goals.
• Gather requirements and deliver complete reporting solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated, user-friendly reports and dashboards for procurement planning and decision-making.
• Build ETL pipelines that pull data from diverse sources using SQL, Python, and AWS big data technologies.
• Publish and maintain QuickSight dashboards, reports, and exec review documents.
• Uncover patterns in the data and connect them to business outcomes.
• Invent new ways to define and measure program effectiveness and productivity.
• Bridge business and tech by delivering actionable insights and ad hoc analyses.
• Run regular audits to keep reporting complete and accurate, and automate manual reporting.
• Grow the team's analytical maturity through predictive and prescriptive analytics.
