Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP in the United States is seeking a Senior BI Developer to drive the plan, model, build and management of our BI and analytics solutions as we grow. You will work independently on analytics development, while collaborating with peers and business partners to design best in class reporting solutions.

This role emphasizes Power BI, data governance and security compliance in a fast paced advisory environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building Power BI dashboards against diverse data sources.
• Experience with SQL/SSMS for data extraction and modeling.
• Strong ability to translate metrics into actionable insights and analytics solutions.
• DA-100 or equivalent data analyst certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create best-in-class analytics dashboards using Power BI against varied source systems.
• Design charts and visualizations to display large data sets to drive better decisions.
• Collaborate with business partners to translate metrics into analytics solutions.
• Champion new tools, technologies, and best practices for data integration and governance.
• Coordinate with DBA and Data Integration Specialist to support the enterprise data warehouse.

The Senior BI Developer will help drive the plan, model, build, and management of our BI and analytics solutions for the future as we continue to grow. This role will work independently on analytics development, while collaborating with peers and business partners to design best in class reporting solutions. As Senior BI Developer, you will:

• Utilize skills and knowledge to create best in class analytics dashboards primarily using Microsoft Power BI against a variety of source systems.
• Strong understanding of, and experience building, effective charts and visualizations. Ability to design impactful dashboards aimed at displaying large amounts of data in a way to drive better, more informed decisions for the firm
• Work directly with our business partners to identify, understand, and translate key metrics into high quality analytics solutions designed to enhance and improve critical business processes.
• Champion the introduction of new tools, technologies, and best practices for integration, master data management, maintenance, testing, deployment, reporting & analytics.
• Partner with our DBA and Data Integration Specialist to ensure the enterprise data warehouse is built to best support reporting and analytics requirements, both now and for future capabilities.
• Work with subject matter experts to build solutions using approved calculations and data elements, emphasizing proper data governance.
• Ensure all BI solutions are designed and built to comply with, and always, adhere to Cherry Bekaert security, data privacy and other risk & compliance policies, procedures and controls.
• High School Diploma
• ~ Microsoft DA-100: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent
• ~ Strong project and time management skills
• ~ Experience using Power BI
• ~ Experience with SQL/SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
