Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Senior BI Developer to lead analytics development, delivering Power BI dashboards across diverse data sources in a North Carolina-based role.

You will work independently and with partners to translate metrics into high-quality analytics, while upholding data governance and security policies of the firm.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BI experience.
• Microsoft DA-100: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent.
• Good communication skills, with experience gathering requirements from users.
• Strong project and time management skills.
• Experience with enterprise-wide reporting and analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create analytics dashboards primarily using Power BI across multiple source systems.
• Design effective charts and visualizations for clear insights.
• Translate key metrics into high-quality analytics solutions to improve business processes.
• Collaborate with business partners to gather and translate requirements.
• Champion new tools, technologies, and best practices for analytics and data governance.

The Senior BI Developer will help drive the plan, model, build, and management of our BI and analytics solutions for the future as we continue to grow. This role will work independently on analytics development, while collaborating with peers and business partners to design best in class reporting solutions.

As Senior BI Developer, you will:

• Utilize skills and knowledge to create best in class analytics dashboards primarily using Microsoft Power BI against a variety of source systems.
• Strong understanding of, and experience building, effective charts and visualizations.
• Ability to design impactful dashboards aimed at displaying large amounts of data in a way to drive better, more informed decisions for the firm
• Work directly with our business partners to identify, understand, and translate key metrics into high quality analytics solutions designed to enhance and improve critical business processes.
• Champion the introduction of new tools, technologies, and best practices for integration, master data management, maintenance, testing, deployment, reporting & analytics.
• Partner with our DBA and Data Integration Specialist to ensure the enterprise data warehouse is built to best support reporting and analytics requirements, both now and for future capabilities.
• Work with subject matter experts to build solutions using approved calculations and data elements, emphasizing proper data governance.
• Ensure all BI solutions are designed and built to comply with, and always, adhere to Cherry Bekaert security, data privacy and other risk & compliance policies, procedures and controls.

What you bring to the role:

• 5+ years of experience.
