Job summary

Halvik Corp in Vienna, VA seeks a Data Architect with extensive BI experience to lead a large-scale migration from Oracle/OBIEE to Databricks with Tableau. You will design gold-layer data models for Tableau, surface gold data sources, and define automated and manual conversion workflows, including AI-assisted scaffolds and validation gates for fidelity.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of data architecture experience with analytical/data environments.
• Minimum 5+ years building BI data structures for Tableau/Power BI/OBIEE.
• Hands-on Databricks experience; Spark SQL proficiency.
• Expert-level SQL skills and scalable design patterns.
• Strong communication and Agile teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Databricks gold-layer data models for Tableau sources and reports.
• Architect the Tableau data source layer with single/multi-fact structures and performance patterns.
• Own the repeatable report conversion process including AI-assisted paths and manual steps.
• Resolve OBIEE and Tableau architectural differences.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on ETL and Unity Catalog governance.
• Build validation frameworks for source-to-target fidelity and automated comparisons.
• Maintain and improve the AI/LLM-assisted conversion pipeline.
• Mentor Junior BI Developers; contribute to migration playbooks and docs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
