Responsibilities

• Data Integration & Engineering: Acquire, normalize and integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, Excel/CSV, ATS, VMS and other systems.
• Data cleansing, standardization, validation, deduplication and transformation to a trusted dataset.
• BI & Reporting: Build Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, semantic models and DAX measures; enable drill-down and cross-filtering.
• Develop and consume REST APIs for data integration and automation; write Python for data processing and automation.

Role Overview

We are looking for a BI & Data Analytics Engineer to build, enhance, and maintain a centralized data and reporting platform that consolidates data from multiple enterprise systems.

The role covers data integration, data cleansing, SQL, Python, data modeling, Power BI, APIs, security, reconciliation, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Data Integration & Engineering

• Obtain, integrate, and normalize data from multiple sources and formats, including APIs, databases, Excel/CSV files, ATS, VMS, and other business systems.
• Understand where data originates and how it flows across different systems.
• Build and maintain data ingestion, synchronization, ETL/ELT, and transformation processes.
• Develop and consume REST APIs for data integration and automation.
• Use Python for data processing, automation, API integration, and ETL.
• Develop complex SQL queries, views, transformations, and data models.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Supabase, or equivalent technologies.

Data Cleansing, Quality & Source of Truth

• Perform data cleansing, standardization, validation, deduplication, and transformation.
• Trace data from a dashboard or KPI back through the data model and transformation layer to the originating source records.
• Establish and document the source of truth for key business metrics and data elements.

BI & Reporting

• Build sophisticated Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, semantic models, and DAX measures.
• Develop interactive reports with:
  • Filters and slicers
  • Drill-down and drill-through
  • KPI cards
  • Cross-filtering
  • Exception reporting
  • Client-specific views
• Enable users to move from summarized KPIs to underlying transactions/source records where appropriate.
• Ensure reporting accurately reflects the underlying data and business rules.

Required Skills

• Strong SQL, including complex queries and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and semantic modeling.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and relational databases.
• Experience with REST APIs and data integrations.
• Experience with Python for data processing, automation, API integration, or ETL.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data transformation, and data cleansing.
• Experience with at least one of PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, MySQL, or Supabase.

Preferred Experience

• Integration with ATS, VMS, CRM, HR, ERP, or other enterprise systems.
• Experience with platforms such as JobDiva, SAP Fieldglass, or similar ATS/VMS systems.
• Experience with client-facing or multi-tenant reporting.
• Experience with Git/version control.
• Basic understanding of web technologies and reporting portals.

Experience

3-6 years of relevant experience in BI, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or a closely related field.
