Qualifications

• Associate's degree plus three years in claims handling or Bachelor's degree plus one year.

Responsibilities

• Determines coverage and liability.
• Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys.
• Settle claims and set reserves.
• Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents.
• Analyze medical reports and manage claims process for efficient resolution.
• Interview and document information from claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys and police.
