Spectrum in Stamford, CT seeks an BI App Developer III to design and implement BI and reporting in a large-scale cloud data warehouse using MicroStrategy. You will translate requirements into robust data models, dashboards, and reports, collaborating with analysts, architects, and business users, and provide production support.
Strong SQL and performance tuning skills with experience in Teradata, Snowflake, and Redshift are required, plus mentoring teammates and contributing to data governance.

Location: Stamford, CT
Develop technical business intelligence and reporting solutions to meet business needs. Provide design for the development of cost-effective Business Intelligence (BI) solutions in a large-scale cloud data warehouse environment. Contribute to solution architecture by approving data architecture to be consumed by MicroStrategy. Transform business requirements into sustainable BI solutions through the construction of MicroStrategy architecture, schema, cubes, reports and dashboards. Work closely with Analysts, Architects, Leaders and Business Users to understand requirements, design reporting solutions, develop code, support user testing and implement functionality to achieve business goals. Provide post implementation support and resolve any issues in a production environment to ensure quick resolutions and return to normalcy of the products. Maintain solid understanding of the business environment, strong analytical and technical skills and very good communication skills to report findings and solution details in a clear, structured manner. Leverage combination of strong technical knowledge with analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to deliver high quality solutions. Provide support and mentoring through example (e.g. code reviews, feature demos, technical challenges) to help ensure team members solve problems, increase in skillset, and achieve their development goals. Participate in workstream/project planning to and accurately project scope and complexity and provide reliable estimates for level of effort including work from external stakeholders and horizontal teams. Recommend standards, policies and procedures for the data model, reports, and attributes of the BI tools, systems and ensure data governance standards are applied consistently across all solutions.
