Job summary

The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is seeking an Associate Manager, Business Intelligence to support the delivery and execution of BI solutions across the organization. This is a hands-on role combining technical expertise with business partnership to design, build, automate, and maintain dashboards, reports, datasets, and analytics that support strategic business and financial decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years in BI or analytics delivering insights to support business needs.
• 1+ years using SQL and other programming languages to analyze large datasets for reporting, dashboard development, and ad hoc analysis.
• Hands-on experience creating, maintaining, and automating reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar enterprise data visualization tools.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions and integrating AI-driven capabilities into day-to-day business processes.
• Demonstrated ability to create clear, engaging data visualizations and presentations that communicate insights effectively.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, especially with multiple data sources.
• Sound judgment and the ability to investigate issues, identify solutions, and make recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across functions.
• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned BI work across a rotating portfolio of analytics and reporting initiatives.
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and datasets using Power BI, SQL, and other enterprise BI tools.
• Maintain and automate recurring weekly and monthly reporting to improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Perform ad hoc financial and business analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure BI deliverables meet expectations for data accuracy, consistency, performance, and usability.
• Enhance existing dashboards, reports, and analytics assets through stakeholder feedback and continuous improvement.
• Work with large datasets to identify trends, answer business questions, and generate actionable insights.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and decision-support needs.
• Lead requirements discussions and contribute to solution design for assigned BI initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into practical dashboards, reports, metrics, and analytics solutions.
• Communicate findings through clear and compelling data visualizations, presentations, and data-driven narratives for business users and leadership.
• Use strong business judgment and analytical thinking to help stakeholders interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Collaborate closely with BI leadership to align work with organizational priorities.
