Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst who is passionate about leveraging technology to extract and share insights using creative data visualizations. The BI Analyst will partner with business stakeholders and Technology teams to design, develop, and implement innovative analytics solutions.

The ideal candidate will weave together disparate data, derive insights, and build a compelling story to drive action.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience using BI reporting tools (Power BI or Tableau).
• 3+ years of experience with analytics tools (SQL, SAS, Python).
• Solid experience prototyping and designing reporting and visualization solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to tell a data-driven story.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence applications.
• Gather and analyze business requirements; translate them into technical specs.
• Create and automate enterprise dashboards and standard/ad-hoc reports.
• Collaborate with analysts and engineers to optimize dashboards and enable self-service.
• Act as BI SME for Power BI users across the company.
• Identify process improvements and apply industry best practices in BI.
• Ensure compliance with banking laws and policies to reduce risk.
