Overview

5+ years of industry experience designing, implementing, and shipping customer solutions. 2+ years of hands-on experience handling data pull, aggregating and transforming large amounts of data from complex tables in large-scale SQL databases. 5+ years of strong SQL programming experience, including mining large amounts of data from different sources, performing complex transformations and processing, optimizing complex scripts, and designing the architecture for mining large data sets. Expertise in Excel with the ability to present data accurately using charts, graphs, and complex Excel functions. Experience in Data Analysis; able to interpret data, analyze information, and present outcomes of the analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship customer solutions with a data-focused approach.
• Pull, aggregate, transform large data sets from complex tables in large-scale SQL databases; optimize SQL scripts and design data mining architectures.
• Develop and present data analyses using Excel (charts, graphs, and advanced functions) to support business decisions.
• Understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements; implement the technical solution.
• Collaborate effectively within a team; communicate clearly with stakeholders and maintain a positive, collaborative attitude.
• Work in an agile environment with an emphasis on customer-facing deliverables and rapid iteration.

Desirable Technical Skills

• Experience with PowerPivot and Excel-based reporting.
• Experience writing applications in C#.NET.
• Experience with SSAS and cube development.
• Experience with SSRS and SSIS.

Mandatory Functional Skills

• Visual Studio/TFS, Scrum/Agile work experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an aggressive release schedule.
• Experience working within a geographically dispersed team.
• Experience working across multiple groups and teams.
• Heavy customer-facing experience; ability to work in an agile manner with customers.
• Understand business requirements and convert them into technical requirements; implement the same.
