The Leasing Consultant will market and lease apartments according to management policies and provide resident services professionally and courteously. This role involves working at Hills at Harrisonburg - Southview & Northview.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain excellent customer service following BHOM Living Playbook
• Adhere to BHOM policies and procedures
• Greet prospective residents, show units, and common areas
• Lease apartments and promote property products/services
• Assist with online application processes
• Respond to internet leads, answer calls, conduct tours
• Optimize occupancy and rent revenue
• Use sales and marketing strategies to increase traffic and occupancy
• Maintain product knowledge of property and competitors
• Assist with market surveys
• Collect deposits and fees
• Prepare lease paperwork thoroughly
• Maintain accurate leasing data
• Inspect units regularly
• Plan and host resident events
• Audit lease files and assist with move-out and turn processes
• Handle resident service requests
• Contribute to upkeep of office and common areas
• Ensure punctuality and report attendance issues
• Perform administrative tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications/Skills

• Ability to read and write English fluently
• Basic to intermediate math skills
• Computer literacy

Desired Qualifications/Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Work Schedule

Generally 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, with extended hours or weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements/Environment

Light physical demand; frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching; occasional bending, crouching; ability to lift up to 25 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs; good vision required. Work environment is typical office setting with minimal exposure to undesirable elements.
