Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) is seeking a part-time Social Worker for our Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) to serve families in Clay, Dickinson, and O'Brien counties. The role involves home visits, flexible scheduling, and travel with mileage reimbursement.

You will empower families to improve behavioral health outcomes in their homes and communities. Qualified applicants may have a social work degree with related experience or a combination of degrees and child mental health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field plus 1 year of full-time human service experience, or 20 hours of child mental health training substituted for experience.
• Bachelor's degree in non-human services field plus 2 years of full-time human service experience, or 30 hours of child mental health training substituted for experience.
• Master's or Bachelor's in Social Work or related field plus 1 year of child mental health services experience.
• Preferred: degree plus 20 hours of child mental health training.

Responsibilities

• Provide skill-based interventions addressing behavioral needs of children and families with mental illness.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and adjust implementation plans based on family needs.

Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) is currently seeking a Social Worker within our Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) program to serve Clay, Dickinson, and O'Brien counties.

The person in this role would work with our families on a flexible schedule. Travel is required as families are seen in their home environments. LSI will reimburse you for mileage.

LSI is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, part-timeSocial Worker for our Behavioral Health Intervention Services. The person in this role is critical to empowering the children and families we serve toward success.

What You'll Do:

Our Social Worker will provide skill-based interventions to address the behavioral needs of Iowa children and parents that accompany a mental illness diagnoses. The person in this role is responsible for building the behavioral skills they need to thrive in their home and in their community. In addition, this role will:

• Provide ongoing assessment to families
• Develop and make changes to the implementation plan based on a child or family's individual situation
• Evaluate a child or family's progress

What You'll Need:

Qualified applicants for this role must have one of the following:

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a human services related field, plus one year of full-time equivalent human service experience. Twenty hours of child mental health training may be substituted for experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in a non-human services related field, plus two years of full-time equivalent human service experience. Thirty hours of child mental health training may be substituted for experience.
• Preferred applicants will meet the following qualifications:
• A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a human services related field, plus one year of full-time equivalent child mental health services experience
• A Bachelor's degree in a non-human services related field, plus two years of full-time equivalent child mental health services experience
• A qualifying degree and completion of 20 hours of child mental health training

Acceptable human service degrees include Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, and Human Services or Development.
