Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Social Worker for the Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) Clinic. The role focuses on mental health care coordination, psychosocial assessments, and crisis intervention as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The incumbent provides clinical services to address complex psychosocial needs, conducts intake and needs assessment, and supports Veterans toward recovery and community reintegration. Telework is Adhoc; standard schedule Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of community resources and ability to coordinate services.
• Skill in independently conducting psychosocial assessments and treatment interventions.
• Ability to provide consultation to new social workers and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health care coordination for Veterans in BHIP Clinic.
• Deliver clinical services addressing mental illness and psychosocial issues.
• Conduct intake, needs assessments, and referrals for treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with Veterans, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Deliver recovery-oriented treatment to support Veterans in the community.
