Mass General Brigham is seeking a research student intern to assist in developing, coordinating, and implementing evaluation projects for hospital- and community-based health improvement programs. You will support research tasks, data collection, reporting, quantitative analysis, literature reviews, and drafting protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Record and track data, maintain lab notebooks and files.
  • Analyze results and interpret findings with postdoc colleagues.
  • Attend lab meetings and journal clubs and present findings.
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties in a research setting.
  • Assist in the development and design of surveys.
  • Coordinate, implement, and monitor data collection activities, including survey administration and interviewing.
  • Manage databases and maintain data integrity.

Job Summary

Under the direction of a faculty researcher and program manager, the research student will assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of several evaluation projects of hospital- and community-based health improvement programs. The student will also, assist with research, data collection, reports, quantitative analysis, literature review, and drafting protocols and reports. The purpose of this role is a learning experience for the intern/student. Projects differ based on the department that is hosting each student.

Essential Functions
  • Records and tracks data and related information, maintaining a lab notebook and other files.
  • Conduct analysis and interpretation of the results generated through working by collaborating with post doc fellows.
  • Attend and make presentations at lab meetings and journal clubs.
  • Work safely within the lab environment and in performing work duties.
  • Clerical and administrative duties in a research setting
  • Assist in the development and design of surveys
