Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Server Assistant to join our team at Beverly's Fine Dining Restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, upscale environment. As a Server Assistant, you will work closely with the front-of-house staff to assist with table setup, food and beverage service, and guest satisfaction, contributing to the overall success of the dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Table Setup and Maintenance: Assist with the setup and preparation of dining tables, ensuring they are properly arranged and equipped with necessary items such as utensils, glassware, and condiments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables throughout service, promptly clearing and resetting as needed to accommodate incoming guests.
2. Beverage Service Support: Assist servers with beverage service, including refilling water glasses, delivering drink orders to tables, and ensuring timely removal of empty glasses. Collaborate with the bar staff to expedite beverage orders and maintain adequate stock levels of glassware and beverages.
3. Food Service Assistance: Support servers in delivering food orders to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are maintained. Coordinate with kitchen staff to expedite food delivery and address any special requests or dietary restrictions from guests.
4. Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, providing assistance and answering questions as needed. Anticipate guest needs and proactively address any concerns or requests to enhance their dining experience.
5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with servers, bartenders, and other dining room staff to facilitate smooth and efficient service operations. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and ensure seamless guest service.
6. Sanitation and Hygiene: Adhere to established sanitation and hygiene protocols, including proper handling of food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness of work areas, and following safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe dining environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications:

1. Previous Experience: Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred, with exposure to food and beverage service and customer interaction. Previous experience as a busser or server assistant is advantageous.
2. Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to provide exceptional hospitality and ensure guest satisfaction. Ability to communicate effectively and interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
