Job summary

Diageo is launching a Beverage Technical Development Training (TDT) program in Plainfield, IL. This 12‑month contract offers full‑time hours with a potential transition to a full‑time role upon completion, starting July 2027.

You will gain real responsibilities and coaching while working with our liquid team on development projects. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree by July 2027 in a related science field and strong problem-solving, communication, and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree expected by July 2027 in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and data analysis abilities.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects to conclusion.
• Must be of legal drinking age by start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead liquid processing or fermentation / distillation optimization (lab to manufacturing).
• Complete laboratory batching, formulation, and scale‑up trials for commercialization.
• Produce trial cooks, fermentations, and distillations; manage batches and samples in the Pilot Plant.
• Generate new liquid and raw material specifications; input data into SAP.
• Operate analytical chemistry equipment (eg. HPLC, GC) to generate insights and develop methods.
