Job summary

Diageo's Beverage Technical Development Training (TDT) Program offers a 12-month contract with full-time hours and a path to a full-time role after completion. The anticipated start date is July 2027, and contractors gain hands-on experience across liquid processing, fermentation, and distillation in our pilot and production environments under senior guidance.

Participants receive coaching, cross-functional mentorship, and exposure to SAP data handling, analytical methods, and lab operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree to be obtained by July 2027 in one of the specified fields.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and data analysis abilities.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
• Confidence, adaptability and resiliency in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be of legal drinking age by start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead liquid processing or fermentation/distillation optimization (laboratory scale to pilot or manufacturing scale).
• Complete laboratory batching, formulation, and scale-up trials to support the liquid team during the commercialization process.
• Be responsible for the production of trial cooks, fermentations, and distillations, as well as batches and sales samples in the Commercialization Lab (Diageo's Pilot Plant), ensuring products are delivered on time and with outstanding quality.
• Generate new liquid and raw material specifications, running and inputting data into SAP.
• Operate sophisticated analytical chemistry equipment (e.g. HPLC, Gas Chromatography) for the purpose of generating insights and developing new laboratory testing methods.
