Job summary

Bally’s Kansas City Casino is seeking a Beverage Server to deliver fast, friendly, professional service to casino guests at the bar and throughout the floor.

You will take orders, relay them to bartenders, carry trays, serve drinks, and handle transactions while staying compliant with company policies. A team-based environment and knowledge of Micros systems are important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn, tray service skills and beverage ingredients.

The Role:

To provide excellent, timely customer service, in order to ensure a favorable gaming and entertainment experience.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal customers at all times.
• Provide fast (20-minute or less round-trip time), friendly, professional beverage service to casino customers, and carry full trays on every round.
• Take drink orders from customers, communicate with bartenders, assist in the preparation of drinks, and serve drinks accurately and timely.
• Handle money according to procedure.
• Explain drink offerings to customers.
• Effectively use tray service skills to provide fast, friendly, and professional beverage service.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Appropriately use all bar equipment and Micros system.
• Work well with all other team members and all customers.
• Learn and use customers’ names to provide personalized, high-level service.
• Effectively resolve service issues according to company guidelines.
• Work well with others, especially other Beverage Servers, Bartenders, Bar Porters, Food and Beverage Supervisors, Table Games team members, and the Slot Department.
• Monitor customers’ consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to company policy and procedures regarding customers’ alcohol limits.
• Work closely with Rewards Club to promote new player card sign-up programs.
• Have complete knowledge of, and effectively promote, all casino events and promotional activities.
• Adhere to departmental and property appearance guidelines and uniform requirements.
• Ensure the safety and security of team members and customers.
• Comply with all policies and procedures established by Bally’s Kansas City and departmental management.
• Carry out other duties reasonably assigned by management.
