Job summary

Ameristar Casino Resort Spa in Colorado is seeking a cocktail server to deliver superior guest experiences in a fast-paced setting. You will greet guests, manage beverage orders, and maintain a clean service area while adhering to safety and cash handling procedures.

The role requires 1+ year of cocktail service experience, cash handling, and TIPS training. Colorado gaming license eligibility, flexible scheduling, and strong communication are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cocktail server preferred in a fast-paced setting.
• Cash handling experience is required.
• Must complete TIPS training for responsible alcohol service.
• Colorado gaming license must be obtainable/maintained.
• Flexible schedule is necessary.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile and a pleasant greeting
• Conduct oneself in a manner that reflects a positive and professional image.
• Keep Bars and self-serve stations clean and stocked as well as any additional duties that are assigned by leadership.
• Responsible for familiarization of cocktails and prices to ensure proper ordering and expedition of beverage orders.
• Serve your assigned section in the proper order of arrival with exceptions in common sense situations or as ordered by your supervisor.
• Follow all cash handling procedures of the F&B department.
• Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do the same.
• Inform immediate supervisor if a critical supply or service situation should arise.
• Observe and anticipate guests’ needs.
• Suggest and up-sell cocktails.
• Responsible for following the calling order when ordering cocktails.
• Ensure you are following your TIPS training for responsible alcohol service at all times.

Requirements

• One (1) years’ experience as a cocktail server in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Must have cash handling experience.
• Must be able to successfully complete a TIPS (responsible service of alcohol) training class.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
• Must be able to handle a flexible schedule.
• Able to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Mobility and dexterity to carry and serve a tray of beverages weighing around fifteen pounds.
