Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana in Gary seeks a friendly Beverage Server to provide prompt, courteous service to guests, take orders, suggestive sell, and help create memorable visits.

You will handle cash, maintain a clean station, and upsell drinks. A high school diploma and strong oral communication are required; flexibility in schedule is needed in a smoky, fast-paced environment with occasional VIP duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Takes customer drink orders, serves drinks and collects monies in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Adheres to food and beverage policies and State Liquor Laws.
• Completes all required set-up duties on time.
• Keeps station clean at all times.
• Serves as a VIP Bartender when pop up beer cart is needed.
• Promotes positive customer relations.
• Responsible for the receipt of monies and settlement of guests checks.
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned by the Beverage Supervisor.

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to all guests, including taking orders, suggestive selling, serving beverages, and clearing tables. This position is instrumental in creating an environment and executing service that blows our guests away. The Beverage Servers must continually seek opportunities to create memories by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and building relationships.

Essential Functions

Education And /Or Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Interpersonal skills must include a positive, friendly and outgoing attitude, common courtesy towards others and the ability to deal successfully with stressful situations.
• Must be able to lift up to ten (10) pounds frequently throughout shift.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Must have the ability to withstand noisy and smoke filled environments.
• Must be able to sit 20% of shift and walk 80% of shift.
