Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Beverage Server to provide excellent beverage service to guests in a fast-paced environment at Derby City Gaming & Hotel in Louisville, KY. You will take orders, handle payments, and ensure guest satisfaction while following responsible alcohol service policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 6 months serving experience preferred, and the ability to obtain a Racing License.

• Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests.

JOB SUMMARY

The Beverage Server is responsible for serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in an excellent and timely manner and to assure quality guest service and a favorable gaming experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for taking orders from guests and returning these orders in a timely manner.
• Keep wok area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Perform "responsible alcohol service" with regards to guest limitations and pass any/all responsible alcohol service training.
• Handling all transactions according to the cash handling policy.
• Be able to use all bar equipment and BERG Beverage System as needed.
• Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Maintaining positive and productive relationships among all Team Members and guests.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high-pressure situations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• 6 months of work experience in serving is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a valid Racing License
