Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a friendly beverage server to join our fast-paced casino team. You will provide courteous, prompt service to guests, carry trays, take orders, and coordinate with bartenders to ensure smooth operations.

We value customer service, reliability, and adherence to safety standards. Roles may require night/weekend availability, and responsibilities include money handling and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to count money and give correct change.
• Knowledge of tray service cocktail ingredients and/or prior server experience preferred.
• Ability to earn and maintain ServSafe certification and TiPS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests; carry full trays on every round.
• Take drink orders and communicate with bartenders; assist in drink preparation and presentation.
• Handle money according to procedure; operate cash register and make deposits at shift end.
• Maintain a clean and stocked workstation and assist team members for smooth operation.
• Adhere to department policies, uniform guidelines, and safety standards; perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Resolve service problems according to guidelines.
• Appear in publicity photos.
• Promote casino events and programs.
• Provide fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests; carries full trays on every round.
• Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and intervene as needed according to guidelines
• Take drink orders, communicates with bartenders, assist in the preparation of drinks and present drinks to guests.
• Handle money according to procedure; operate cash register, take money, make change, and make deposits at the end of shift.
• Maintains clean and stocked workstation.
• Participate as a team member with all servers, venue hosts, supervisors and kitchen staff in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation.
• Declare tips through time and attendance system at the end of each shift.
• Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements.
• Meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, department, and company policies.
• Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris, and litter.
• Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Must adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
• Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned.
