Job summary

Grand Lake Casino is seeking a Beverage Server to take orders and serve beverages on the casino floor. You will manage your own cash bank, process transactions, and assist guests with menu selections while ensuring responsible alcohol service.

Experience in customer service and basic cash handling is preferred. This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a high-energy casino environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. or server and cash handling experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides fast, efficient, and courteous service.
• Collects payments from customers.
• Takes orders from patrons for food or beverages.
• Checks patrons’ ID to ensure minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption.
• Recognizes when a customer has had enough to drink.
• Checks with customers to ensure that they are enjoying themselves and corrects any problems.
• Serves food or beverages to patrons.
• Prepares hot and cold drinks for patrons or orders alcoholic beverages from bar.
• Recommends certain dishes and explains how various items on the menu are prepared.
• Maintains a bank and cashes out each transaction on the floor.
• Stocks service areas with supplies and keeps areas clean.
• Answers patron’s questions, explains menu items and specials.
• Fills in as needed to ensure smooth operation by assisting co-workers, supervisor, or manager.

Position Summary

The Cocktail Waitress is responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to patrons on the casino floor, maintaining their own bank and cashing out each transaction on the floor.

Essential Functions

• Performs excellent customer service at all times.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of beer, wine, liquor and common drink recipes.
• Ability to work under pressure and to serve customers quickly and efficiently.

• Ability count back change accurately and efficiently.

Other Requirements

Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D. All applicants must successfully pass a preemployment drug screening prior to beginning employment. Must be at least 18 years of age per gaming regulations. Required to obtain and maintain ABLE licensing.

Physical Requirements

Position requires the ability to carry heavy trays of food, dishes and glassware, good balance, and the ability to stand or walk for entire shifts.

Work Environment

Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, and bright flashing lights.

Special Working Conditions

This position requires the flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to work under pressure.
