Job summary

Watkins Distributing, a family owned beverage distributor serving Idaho and Montana, seeks a Beverage Relief Sales Representative to cover for vacations and absences. You will ensure continuity of sales, merchandising, and service across multiple routes.

Responsibilities include stocking shelves, assisting deliveries, maintaining inventory, and supporting pricing changes and promotions while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in beverage sales, merchandising, or delivery is preferred.
• Must have reliable communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing routes and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Cover assigned sales routes and territories as needed
• Maintain product inventory levels by monitoring accounts, placing orders, and communicating with store contacts
• Merchandise products to company standards, including stocking shelves, rotating product, and building displays
• Assist with deliveries when needed, including unloading, checking in product, and ensuring accurate delivery
• Maintain positive relationships with customers by providing reliable service and resolving basic sales or service issues
• Support sales initiatives by executing pricing changes, promotions, and resets as directed
• Stay knowledgeable on company products, pricing, and market conditions
• Communicate route activity, issues, and opportunities to sales management
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Summary:

The Beverage Relief Sales Representative provides coverage for Sales Representatives during vacations and other absences, ensuring continuity of sales, merchandising, and customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Cover assigned sales routes and territories as needed
• Maintain product inventory levels by monitoring accounts, placing orders, and communicating with store contacts
• Merchandise products to company standards, including stocking shelves, rotating product, and building displays
• Assist with deliveries when needed, including unloading, checking in product, and ensuring accurate delivery

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record with no major violations
• Must be able to lift, move, and merchandise cases ranging from 20 – 30 lbs. regularly. Tasks include bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods
• Work independently across multiple retail locations, traveling between accounts throughout the day
• May assist with delivery routes requiring early start times
