Job summary

Refresco is hiring a Lab Technician in Pennsylvania to perform chemical and microbiological testing of soft drinks, calibrate equipment, and ensure QA/compliance. The role supports batch processing, CIP, and QA oversight while mentoring other lab staff.

Experience with SQF, GMP, and HPLC is preferred. The position requires high school diploma and a BS in Microbiology or related field, with training in GMP practices.

Qualifications

• BS in a scientific field, preferably Microbiology.
• At least 1 college level course in Microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform required tests in SPC data system including CO2, brix, TA, air, codes, dew point, taste, odor, appearance, contents, sodium, etc.
• Perform control drinks test as needed.
• Perform can seam check at required frequency.
• Perform weekly full round net content of filler.
• Perform product changeovers at filler.
• Valve troubleshooting and rebuilding.
• Assist, train and mentor other lab techs with operational problems to improve effectiveness.
• Verify and oversee water room testing and PM work as needed to insure compliance.
• Be SQF ready at all times by completing tours and following up on any issues.
• Assist QA Manager and/or Supervisor as needed.
