Job summary

Union Beverage Packers, LLC is hiring for an on-site production operator to drive our high-speed beverage lines. You will start up and shut down equipment, monitor performance, and make quick adjustments to prevent downtime.

You’ll perform set-ups, troubleshoot basic faults, participate in preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with Maintenance, Quality, Sanitation, and Production teams. A strong mechanical aptitude and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with machine operation or industrial equipment.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting ability.
  • Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to work weekends and overtime (min. 48 hours/wk).
  • Comfort around moving industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery correctly and safely from start-up to shut-down.
  • Continuously monitor equipment to spot issues early and prevent downtime.
  • Perform set-ups, adjustments, start-ups, shut-downs, and changeovers.
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical faults and perform minor repairs.
  • Execute basic scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; support PM program.
  • Inspect for wear, leaks, damaged parts, and report promptly.
  • Read manuals, drawings, and schematics for operation.
  • Work with fillers, labelers, packers, conveyors, palletizers and other assets.
  • Document production and maintenance records accurately.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Sanitation, and Production teams.
  • Adhere to safety, GMP, food safety, and company requirements.

About the roleEach shift, you’ll be the steady hand that keeps our beverage lines humming. You’ll arrive to a fast-moving floor, review the production plan, and ready high-speed assets—fillers, labelers, packers, conveyors, and palletizers—for a smooth start-up. As runs progress, you’ll listen for the hint of an abnormal noise, spot early signs of wear or leaks, and make quick, safe adjustments to prevent downtime.
