Job description

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that our plant's equipment is running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment, repairs, building maintenance, and ensuring that all processes are adhered to.

Qualifications & Requirements

● Three years of maintenance experience in a brewery, food, or manufacturing environment

(Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and GMP is highly preferred)

● Knowledge of pneumatic systems, industrial electricity, mechanical power, steam

generation, and sanitary process piping. PLC experience is a plus

● Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs, walking, standing, and crouching for long periods of time

● Ability to operate a forklift

● Proficient in basic computer skills

Responsibilities & Skills

● Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical problems and make repairs

through adjustments, parts replacement, or fabrications

● Wire moderately complex control circuits

● Fabricate, repair, and install piping including hot/cold water, steam, process, and

condensate

● Welding stainless and other metals, and sanitary welding experience is a plus

● Operating a mill

● Assist production with size changeovers and equipment adjustments

● Perform preventative maintenance on equipment per the manufacturer's

recommendations

● Constantly improve production and equipment function

● Participate in PPE initiatives, LOTO, and follow all company policies and procedures.

● Ability to read, interpret, and complete documents such as P& ID, wiring diagrams,

operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

● Operate, make adjustments, and set up equipment on packaging line, such as PLC panel operation, adjusting settings on line equipment, setting up tray former, wrappers, date coder, fillers, and other machine related tasks. Supporting production when necessary

● Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and personnel

● Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
