Overview

As the Beverage Manager at Vast, you will lead an award-winning beverage program, managing staff, curating wine lists, and creating innovative beverage experiences. A sommelier certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Beverage Program Innovation: Develop and maintain a world-class wine and beverage program, introduce craft cocktail pop-ups, collaborate with vendors, and partner with culinary team for seasonal pairings.
  2. Wine List & Craft Cocktail Management: Oversee wine list curation and develop innovative cocktail menus.
  3. Floor Service & Guest Experience: Lead floor service during dinner, assist guests with wine selections, and address guest concerns.
  4. Bar Scheduling, Payroll, & Staffing: Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and participate in hiring.
  5. Banquet Beverage Setup: Lead beverage service for banquets and special events.
  6. Vendor Relationships & Inventory Management: Build vendor relationships, oversee inventory, and conduct audits.
  7. Compliance & Safety: Ensure health, safety, and alcohol regulation compliance.
  8. Staff Development & Training: Hire, train, and evaluate staff, fostering continuous improvement.
  9. Industry Leadership & Community Engagement: Represent Vast at industry events and stay informed on trends.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and fine dining.
  • Passion for beverage innovation.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing wine lists, vendor relations, and costs.
  • Flexibility for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with beverage software.
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
Qualifications

  • ABLE license required.
  • Experience in staff hiring, training, and event planning.
  • Inventory and vendor management expertise.
