Job summary

Kissel Uptown Oakland is seeking a Beverage Server to deliver drinks with warmth, energy and precise timing in Oakland’s Uptown district. You’ll greet guests, take accurate orders, and keep the bar area tidy and welcoming.

Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic options helps you guide guests and ensure satisfaction. You’ll work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task across tables and payments, and follow safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospitality or food & beverage service experience a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., Alcohol Awareness, Food Handler’s Card) as per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Guest Experience Guru: Create warm, memorable dining moments by greeting guests with a smile, taking accurate orders, and meeting guest needs from start to finish.
• Menu Mastermind: Know the menu inside and out—from ingredients to daily specials and alcohol service guidelines.
• Accuracy Ace: Deliver food and drinks quickly and flawlessly with attention to detail.
• Table Tactician: Juggle multiple tables with ease, keep service smooth and spaces clean.
• Payment Pro: Handle transactions with precision and follow security protocols.
• Cleanliness Champion: Keep the service area spotless and safe, adhering to hygiene regulations.
• Stamina Specialist: Stay energized and on your feet, lifting and moving throughout shift.
