Job summary

The Lodge at Torrey Pines, owned by Evans Hotels, LLC, is seeking a Beverage Cart Attendant to provide courteous service on the golf course. You will manage food and beverage products, interact with guests, and maintain professional presentation during shifts.

Role requires 1-2 years of relevant experience, and certification prerequisites are provided by the employer. The position offers day shifts, employee benefits, and opportunities for career growth within Evans Hotels properties.

Qualifications

SUMMARY

The Beverage Cart ("Mesero/a de Alimentos y Bebidas") provides courteous, timely and professional service on the gold course, showing complete knowledge of all food and beverage products and pricing, as well as maintaining a proactive, customer-orientated attitude.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Greets our guests with a smile in a friendly, courteous demeanor.


• Reports to work as scheduled in the proper and clean uniform.


• Loads and unloads food and beverage products from storeroom onto beverage cart.


• Safely drives beverage cart throughout golf course recognizing proper golf etiquette and following a specified route.


• Cordially and professionally presents food and beverage products, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and beverage products on concessions beverage cart.


• Employs suggestive selling techniques to stimulate sales.


• Actively observes golfers to respond to any additional requests.


• Follows cash and credit card handling policies at all times.


• Is responsible for entire appearance and presentation of products on beverage cart.


• Solves any discrepancies when they occur in a professional and sympathetic manner.


• Makes management aware of malfunctioning equipment.


• Is responsible for completion of their assigned opening and closing procedures.


• Has a supervisor check their inventory when returning from the shift.


• Attends all employee meetings as requested by management


• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training.


• A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.


• Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.


• Must be able to attain a valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire. Evans Hotels will provide this training and is to be completed at the company’s expense.


• RBS Certification required.


• Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.


• Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.


• The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
