Job summary

Troon International is seeking a courteous Beverage Cart Attendant to support the on-course dining experience. You will deliver food and beverages to guests, operate the POS system, and ensure timely service while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of alcohol service laws, and strong customer service skills. This on-site role requires standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and reliable attendance; ServSafe or TIPS certification is

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
  • English language ability to communicate with guests and co-workers.
  • Experience using a POS system and handling cash is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure beverage cart is operational before rounds.
  • Stocks and cleans beverage cart throughout the day.
  • Serves food and beverages to guests on the course.
  • Responds to guest questions regarding general information.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of state liquor laws and SOPs.
  • Communicates guest concerns to the Director of Food and Beverage and Chef.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Description
General Purpose:

Provides a convenient method for members and guests to obtain food and beverage items while out on the course. Creates memorable dining experiences through prompt, efficient, and professional interactions.

  • Confirmsbeverage cart is fully operational before starting rounds on the course.
  • Stocks and cleans beveragecartthroughout the day.
  • Maintains andexhibitsknowledge of proper golf course etiquette.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.
  • Ensures guests areattended toin a prompt,efficientand personalized manner.
  • Serves food and beverage items to guests while on the course.
  • Responds to customer questionsregardingthe general information offacility.
  • Reviews schedules for changes, calendar ofeventsand club activities on a daily basis.
  • Accountable for all checks and cash transactions that may, at times, maybehighvolume.
  • Utilizes Point of Sales system and creates daily sales reports.
  • Communicates guest concerns or commentsimmediatelyto the Director of Food and Beverage and Chef.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties asrequired.
MinimumRequirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches; talks or hears. Occasionally sits; climbs or balances.Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions, in extreme heat and in areas near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally works in high precarious places, near fumes or airborne particles, near toxic or caustic chemicals and in extreme cold (non-weather). Occasionally risks electrical shock.Noiselevel is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:

Valid Driver’s License Required;ServSafeCertified (Food Manager & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
  • Ability to read and speak English may berequiredin order toperform the duties of the job (e.g.the associates maybe requiredto communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
  • Working knowledge ofPOSsystem.
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety.
  • Must have legible handwriting.
  • Patience and customer-oriented approach.
  • Excellentpeopleskills with a friendly attitude.
  • Responsible and trustworthy.
  • Self-motivated and works well with little direction/supervision.
