Job summary

Settler's Hill Golf Course is seeking Beverage Cart Attendants for the remainder of the golf season. These are part-time seasonal roles; candidates must be at least 21 years old at hire. You will serve beverages and stock items, operate the beverage cart, and maintain cart cleanliness between shifts.

Responsibilities include quick service to patrons, adherence to training on Responsible Alcohol service, and accurate handling of inventory and tips. Regular on-site attendance is required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.

• Basic math and cash handling ability.

Landscapes Golf Management and Settler's Hill Golf Course are seeking Beverage Cart Attendants for the remainder of the golf season. These are part time seasonal positions. Must be at least age 21 at the time of hire.

The present location of Settler's Hill Golf Course is on the site of the old County Farm and Home. The Home site itself had several buildings, the home, administration building, power plant, maintenance building, corn crib and dairy barn, plus other out-structures such as machine sheds and animal shed, but the only ones that still exist are the power house, maintenance building, corn crib and the dairy barn. The dairy barn was remodeled and is currently used as a club house. The corn crib and the maintenance building are used to store equipment for use on the course.

JOB SUMMARY

Delivers high level of service to course patrons, serves beverages and other stock items as requested.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Promote, work and act in a manner consistent with the values of LGM.
2. Operate beverage cart in a safe and responsible manner per defined course route.
3. Serve course patrons beverages and other stock items quickly.
4. Attends Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco Service training and adheres to the Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco Service policy.
5. Verifies identification of patrons requesting alcoholic beverages who appear under 35 years of age.
6. Maintains and accounts for the “bank” on the cart.
7. Maintains the stock on the cart; loading and unloading of stock.
8. Completes the beverage cart worksheet and other processes to ensure accurate count and tracking of inventory and tips.
9. Ensures the cleanliness of the cart and removes trash at the end of the shift.
10. Complies with golf course etiquette rules.
11. Maintains neat, well groomed, professional appearance and demeanor. Adheres to club dress code always.
12. Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations.
13. Performs additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers.
14. Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

2. Good oral communication skills.
3. Able to safely operate the beverage cart.
4. Has attained the legal serving age per state regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. High Diploma or GED required.
2. Previous experience in a customer service position preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Seeing and hearing: read documents, computer screen, answer phones, communicate in person 50-75%
• Standing and walking 50-75%
• Climbing, stooping, squatting and kneeling 25-50%
• Dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, writing and Driving 50-100%
