Job summary

Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel is seeking a Full-Time Beverage Attendant in Tama, IA. You will stock beverage coolers, maintain clean self-serve stations, and support back bar areas while upholding service standards.

Responsibilities include product knowledge, inventory management, handling guest inquiries and complaints professionally, and ensuring safety and compliance with gaming regulations. This role is non-safety sensitive and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Summary

To keep beverage service areas and equipment well-stocked and clean.

• Keep all beverage coolers, beverage self-serve stations, back bar areas and cocktail server stations well-stocked and clean.
• Maintain knowledge about all beverage products used, usage by location and product storage areas. Inventory products as directed. Communicate to a shift supervisor product shortages and needs.
• Document all product transfers and product waste as directed.
• Follow policies to secure alcoholic beverage products.
• Contribute to quality maintenance of equipment within all beverage areas. Report any repairs needed to a shift supervisor
• Answer customer questions correctly concerning F&B venues, casino promotions, etc.
• Respond to customer complaints in a professional manner. Notify shift supervisor of any/all complaints.
• Report to shift supervisor immediately any customer that appears intoxicated.
• Display flexibility needed to meet beverage work schedule demands.
• Report tips earned in accordance with Company Policy and Federal regulations.
• Assume responsibility for knowledge of information included in department Memo Book.
• Communicates and networks effectively with staff, other departments, and outside representatives in order to maintain a productive and effective department operation.
• Safeguard and account for the assets of the owners.
• Comply with policies and procedures required by the department, the company, the Meskwaki Gaming Commission, and the National Indian Gaming Commission.
• Monitor the casino environment and follow established safety procedures to provide for the safety of guests and co-workers.
• Work respectfully and effectively as part of the company team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.
• Report to work on time and as required in professional attire, display a high level of personal cleanliness and follow personal appearance standards.
• Deter guest intoxication by monitoring number of alcoholic beverages served and visible signs of intoxication. Comply with the F&B Department Alcoholic Beverages Policies and Procedures.
• Comply with all departmental safety regulations, using safety equipment as required.
• Must utilize a “two man safety lift” when changing kegs to prevent injury.

Supplemental Job Duties

• Attends all required meetings and training sessions.
• Assist bartenders and cocktails as needed.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

May be exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Continuous lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds will be required. Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds with occasional periods of lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds will be required. Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time. Requires frequent bending, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, balancing and pushing/pulling equipment. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals. Must comply with company and departmental appearance standards (wear approved uniform; no extreme hairstyles or jewelry; clean hands, fingernails and hair; no offensive or excessive tattoos visible to guests; no chewing gum or smoking cigarettes while working; no overpowering colognes; etc.).

Minimum Job Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Work Experiences: Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the Sac & Fox Gaming Commission.

Skills/Abilities: Must be able to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with other members of the staff and guests. Must be able to read and understand written policies, procedures, etc. Must be able to effectively communicate with fellow staff members. Must be reliable, courteous and friendly and be able to work directly with the general public. Must be flexible with shift and days off. Must be able to handle busy and stressful situations. Must be able to meet all non-supervisory training and education requirements.

Restrictions

This position is PROHIBITED from playing all casino games while on duty, except as authorized for employee tournaments. Otherwise, this position may play any casino game while off duty. Employees and members of the household are prohibited from entering company contests and giveaways established for our guests.
