Qualifications

• Advanced reading and writing comprehension in English to read work orders and safety policies.
• Advanced measuring skills to read English & Metric systems with tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and arithmetic to convert decimals and fractions.
• Experience operating overhead crane / forklift.
• Proficient with hand tools including grinders.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination.
• Computer literacy: Microsoft products, CAD programming and ERP.
• Must be organized with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Position work pieces for processing.
• Operate machines to process work by cutting, burning, sawing, grinding, bending, or pressing.
• Use gauges, calipers, squares, or rulers for measurement.
• Review blueprints and work orders to determine specs.
• Install and align fixtures using gauges and hand tools.
• Adjust controls for speed, depth, and feed; diagnose issues.
• Perform quality control inspections and document results.
• Coordinate material handling including overhead crane operation.
• Restock materials and complete work order paperwork.
