About this role:

We are seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for our National Branch Network within the Consumer, Small & Business Banking division. Learn more about our career areas at wellsfargojobs.com.

In this role you will:
  1. Deliver exceptional customer experience by building relationships through proactive outreach and proposing suitable products, services, and digital solutions.
  2. Assist customers with account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
  3. Follow directions from managers and exercise judgment within policies.
  4. Develop understanding of bank products to meet customer needs.
  5. Engage with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships.
  6. Offer appropriate bank products and refer customers to specialists as needed.
  7. This SAFE position involves customer contact and may include offering/negotiating terms or taking applications for dwelling secured transactions, requiring compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations. Employment depends on meeting these requirements and passing background checks. It also requires meeting Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO).
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ months of customer interaction experience, demonstrated through work, training, military service, or education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Customer service experience with complex transactions.
  • Proactive outreach via phone or email.
  • Ability to educate customers on mobile banking and technology.
  • Experience building strong customer relationships and working in teams.
  • Ability to identify potential fraud or risky accounts and act accordingly.
  • Relevant military experience, including personnel benefits, orders, transitions, or recruiting.
  • Proficient in sourcing and maintaining customer and colleague relationships.
  • Support in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.
Job Expectations:
  • Availability to work most Saturdays.
  • Manage cash drawer, handle cash, and complete service tasks.
  • This position requires SAFE registration post-employment. Wells Fargo will facilitate registration through the NMLS system. Candidates must meet qualification standards, including financial responsibility and background checks. This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
