Job summary

National Electrical Engineering Consultants (NEEC) is seeking a BESS Technician 1 to assist in assembly, wiring, and installation of energy storage equipment under the guidance of senior technicians and engineers. Travel to project sites nationwide will be required, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in electrical construction or maintenance.
• Basic understanding of electrical safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn and work in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Support system assembly, wiring, and equipment installation in accordance with plans and standards.
• Assist in testing procedures and data collection under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Report issues to the Senior Technician for resolution.

About the Role

The BESS Technician 1 assists in the assembly, wiring, and installation of energy storage equipment under the guidance of senior technicians and engineers. This role provides hands‑on learning and exposure to field practices, focusing on safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The BESS Technician 1 supports project delivery by following technical procedures, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring compliance with NEEC’s safety and quality standards.
