Job summary

SolaX Power seeks a BESS Technical Support Engineer to provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for utility-scale battery energy storage systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes knowledge of energy storage, system integration, and field operations.

Responsibilities include remote and on-site commissioning support, diagnosis of faults, collaboration with R&D, and assisting with documentation, firmware upgrades, and project reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support, commissioning, or service for BESS, solar, or power systems.
• Strong understanding of Li-ion battery technology, inverter operation, communication protocols (Modbus, CAN, TCP/IP), and power electronics.
• Hands-on experience with EMS, BMS, SCADA systems, or grid integration is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for site support and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for commissioning, operation, and maintenance of BESS solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve system faults related to battery systems, inverters, BMS/EMS, and communication networks.
• Work closely with HQ R&D and product teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
• Guide customers and service partners through system testing, firmware upgrades, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Support the sales and application engineering teams with technical documentation, system configuration, and project design reviews.
• Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions to explain system architecture and product functionalities.
• Review project drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with standards.
