Job summary

JA Solar is seeking a Technical Presales Manager BESS for Italy. The role focuses on providing technical pre‑sales support, system design, bid support, and customer-facing presentations for utility‑scale and C&I BESS projects across Italy within Technical Europe.

You will contribute to product certifications, monitor market trends, and ensure technical compatibility of energy storage solutions in the European market. Regular travel across Italy is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in a technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Physics, or Power Systems.
• 3–7 years of PV or energy storage experience preferred.
• Proven experience in BESS technical support, system design, or pre‑sales engineering.
• Strong understanding of energy storage systems, grid requirements, and customer expectations.
• Italian and English proficiency at the required levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical pre‑sales support for BESS products, including customer communication and solution presentations.
• Design and configure BESS solutions, including system sizing and cost inputs for quotations.
• Participate in tender processes; prepare and review technical bid documents.
• Support technical negotiations and drafting of specifications and agreements for BESS projects.
• Deliver technical trainings and presentations for BESS products and solutions.
• Travel across Italy and for occasional Europe‑wide events.
