Preferred:
- Experience working as SME in substation or utility scale energy storage design and/or project management;
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Power electronics; Battery storage system design; Substation design; Generation tie design;
- Experience managing technical and financial aspects of a large-scale fleet, including influence of maintenance, CAPEX, O&M spend or daily operations strategy;
- Experience in construction methods, including foundations, trenching, electrical terminations and testing, and best safety practices;
- Experience in technologies in energy storage including varying battery chemistries, power conversion units and DC-DC converters;
- Experience with UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections
- Experience with interconnection studies and GIA material modification adjustment (MMA) processes, particularly in WECC and CAISO;
- Construction permitting and contracting experience;
- Experience creating and managing PowerBI dashboards that include multiple linked data systems requiring aggregation of large data volume and analytics;

Required:
- Experience in Project Management (5+ years);
- Experience with BESS projects within the E&C unit;
- Experience with PPA and GIA negotiations;
- Experience with EPC/PC construction services;
- Experience in pre-construction (Early Stage);
- Occasional travel to visit the assigned project locations and to support Development with local public hearings.
Preferred:
- Experience with electricity markets, renewables, and/or battery projects;
- PMP Certification;
- Advanced Excel skills;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance/Accounting
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal and external resources to support BESS project activities from pre-construction to construction;
- Coordinate across functions such as environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, and interconnection to ensure all project variables are identified and integrated;
- Develop and optimize the project’s technical scope to enhance technical and financial feasibility;
- Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations;
- Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement requirements for project execution;
- Support development of engineering designs and cost estimates for financial modeling;
- Source, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts for services including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction;
- Present and manage financial models through executive budget approvals using market data;
- Track and manage multiple projects at varying stages, including schedule, budget, and deliverables across the U.S. and Canada
