Opportunity Overview

BESS Project Management Consultant based in Juno Beach, FL. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W‑2) with the Engineering & Construction (E & C) Team. You will be responsible for daily project coordination across multiple Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects at varying stages.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate matrixed project development teams to ensure resources focus on the right activity at the right time to meet project schedule.
• Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, and interconnection stakeholders to identify all project variables.
• Improve project variables to enhance technical and financial feasibility.
• Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations.
• Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement requirements.
• Support the E & C engineering team with technical attributes to develop designs.
• Support the E & C cost estimating team in developing financial models.
• Present financial models to the respective business unit(s) and manage them through executive budget approvals.
• Competitively source, negotiate, and implement commercial contracts for critical services, including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC construction services.
• Present regular briefings on current progress, issues, and risk mitigation to multiple levels of management.
• Ensure the Construction Project Manager can take over projects moving to the Construction stage with an inclusive and executable construction plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction or an equivalent field.
• 4+ years of experience managing projects across the United States and Canada.
• Strong project management skills; experience in renewable energy and battery projects.
• Background in finance, accounting or management related to engineering and construction of renewable projects.
• Experience with electricity markets, renewables, and battery projects.
• PMP certification and advanced Excel skills are preferred.
• Occasional travel to project sites and local public hearings is required.
