Job summary

Terra-Gen is seeking a highly skilled BESS HVAC Technician to serve as the technical authority for cooling infrastructure supporting our Battery Energy Storage Systems near Mojave, CA. This full-time role focuses on maintaining precision thermal management systems and leading field maintenance.

You will perform installation, diagnostics, preventive and corrective maintenance on complex HVAC, refrigeration and controls, coordinating with contractors and observing NFPA 70E safety.

Qualifications

4+ years in industrial HVAC or commercial refrigeration.
EPA 608 Universal Certification.
Ability to troubleshoot low- and high-voltage control circuits and power supplies.
Practical knowledge of PV electrical systems and ESS safety.
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance on BESS HVAC and thermal systems to ensure uptime and reliability.
Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
Interface with PLC/SCADA to monitor performance and optimize efficiency.
Develop preventive and predictive maintenance procedures to enhance system reliability.
Follow NFPA 70E safety standards and lead safety culture.
