Responsibilities

  • Prepare appetizers, sandwiches, calzones, pizza, grilled, and pasta dishes according to Bertucci's specifications.
  • Be knowledgeable in all behind-the-line areas to ensure flexible scheduling.
  • Manage food rotation, setup, breakdown, stock wood, present products, and clean utensils and work areas.
  • Prepare food accurately and timely.
  • Ensure proper temperatures of ovens, coolers, and freezers.
  • Inspect stock levels and review prep sheets with the manager to establish daily prep lists.
  • Store, unpack, and retrieve food items appropriately.
  • Monitor and report equipment malfunctions, ensuring proper functioning.
  • Follow safety policies in food preparation and demonstrate correct use of equipment.
  • Maintain sanitary work areas per State Health Department standards.
